A. Measure the height of the flue or highest flue in the group.
(Remember you screen needs to be a Minimum of 5 inches above the highest Flu on your crown)
Outside Mount: Measure all 4 sides exactly (Do not assume that one side is the same size as the other). The screen height should be at least 5" higher than FH - (the tallest flue liner).
Please be sure your mesurements are correct. ALL Custom caps are non-refundable.

Top Mount: The minimum base size is FAL X FAW (FAL= "all the flu's on the crown" from one end to the other length wise) (FAW= same but width wise)Use this formula only is you want a smaller cap than the crown size. Top Mount Caps Only. In other words:
Try to keep the mesh at leased 3-4 inches in from the edge as the flange adds 1 1/4" (all around) to the "foot print" of the cap. Don't worry about the lid of the chimney cap... it is not recommended that it overhangs the chimney. (Top Mounts Only)

The maximum base size(most popular) is (shortest L minus 3") X (shortest W minus 3") - Example: L= 52", W= 24", the maximum base size would be 49" X 21"(this is the largest) The screen height should be at least 5" higher than FH - (the tallest flue liner). Note: The maximum base size or slightly less is the ideal size - this will give the most protection and achieve the most balanced look.
Two diferent types of Cap mounts to choose from Outside Mount Chimney Caps or Top Mounts Chimney Caps.
